No Pain Weight loss

What if I told you that there is no such thing as No Pain Weight Loss? You would probably say, Yes you are right. According to the CDC, 41% of adults over 20 are overweight with obesity. WOW! That is a scary fact. 87.5% of Americans that are overweight have Diabetes. That is even scarier.

So, what can you do to lose weight? Well, you can go on a diet, or you can go to the gym. You could walk around the block 20 times a day, or you could walk on that new clothes hanger that’s called a $500.00 treadmill.

Dieting

Hey, let’s all go on a diet. Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? Sure it does! What is dieting? Dieting is the practice of creating food that adds, decreases, or maintains body weight. The thing about that is you must maintain it forever. If you fall off of your diet then everything fails.

Diets are expensive. Did you know that you can spend a lot more money on a diet than if you planned a meal that you normally have? Diets cost more than a healthy diet. According to a Harvard study, it will cost about $1.50 more per day.

Diets can be unhealthy for you. Let’s look at one diet. Who doesn’t love – BACON!! Everyone is talking about bacon these days. Heck, even the donut shop is putting bacon on their donuts and people are eating it up. Sounds interesting, but you should not go overboard on bacon-covered donuts.

Let’s go to the gym, for No Pain Weight Loss.

Well, that kind of kills the no-pain weight loss theory right there. Why do people go to the gym? Most people go to increase muscle and to look good. Ask Arnold about that. Why should I buy a $ 50-a-month gym membership to look good?

No Pain Weight loss - man with back pain.

No pain no gain! I call BS on that. I know quite a few people that look good and have beautiful skin and muscle tone that have never been to a gym. They have a secret that I will tell you in a little bit.

Going to the gym may be good for some people. But some people just cannot afford it. Why? Well like I said, having a membership can cost upwards of $50 per month, and if you are going to do it right, you should have a personal trainer. Personal trainers are there to show you how to do it right so you won’t hurt yourself and to teach you how to build up that muscle. Personal trainers are charging upwards of $100 – $200 per hour. Nuts. Can you afford to have 2 hours with a trainer, 2-3 times a week? Or even 4 times a month?

New Years Resolution

I’m going to lose 75 pounds this year and I am starting on New Year’s Day! Yeah Right! Did you know that of 100 people that start New Year’s Resolutions, only 9 felt they were successful by the end of the year? Why is there such a large failure rate? Let’s take a look:

  • 35% said they had made Unrealistic Goals
  • 33% said they failed due to not keeping track of their goals
  • 23% forgot about their resolutions
  • 10 people said they made too many resolutions.

OK, so how do we do No Pain Weight loss?

  • First, eat healthy food. Do you notice I didn’t say diet? Healthy food is better for you than a diet. I know several people that have gotten sick from a diet, including me.
  • Second, exercise moderately. Do not overstress your exercise. Take it slow at first. Walk down the block and back, once per day. Then, increase to twice per day. Then, around the block once per day, etc. Increase until you are feeling good about yourself.
  • Third, get a boost by sleeping as much as your body and mind need. Getting at least 8 hours per night is essential to a healthy body and mind. My Dr said no work at night and believe me that helped a lot. Sleep at night, and work during the day.
  • Fourth, get rid of all the negativity in your life. There is nothing worse than having negative people around you. The stress is unbearable. Just get rid of them.
